Statii:
- James -
  - GDAL Driver - mostly done. some compatibility issues.
  - DAP 4.0 Spec - Data Model Specification. ready to go to the group.
  - Bug Reports on 3.4 release.
  - This week: finish GDAL driver., Send out data model paper. to inside the group. Unpacked boxes.
- Nathan -
  - DAP 4.0 Object Spec. (Data Model Spec). List of reviewers. Then on to Web Services Document.
  - Problem with DRDS.
- Reza -
  - Sequence Problems. Fixed some things. Data scanning through. One bug left (!). Iterator vs pixes(?) changes. Finding datasets (?) problem.
- Yuan -
  - DODS->netCDF code. Switch to netCDF operator. nck DODS->netCDF. Will work for netCDF and HDF servers. Link to the netCDF library.
- Rob -
  - Upgraded to Panther, X-11 stuff will work. Patch for MATLAB to work. G77? Upgraded, minus MATLAB. Now need a link to the IDL client. Discussion - may hold off or, if implemented, bang on it really hard.

Action Item: Nathan make up a pdf file, Paul to distribute to core list (verified with James).

Statii:
- James: Fixing bugs: 1) server projection function, 2) Caching problem - user needs write permission in the current directory.

Ethan and Yuan are on the annual(?) Unidata retreat. Release 3.5 will not include SOAP and WSDL, so we want to get 3.4, then 3.5 out ASAP. We need to get people using AIS. Ocean.US will need the SOAP and WSDL (XML) capabilities.

- Rob: Has set up a small web site for WIN32 Port. James: how did you do it? Rob: dyndns.org Discussion. Rob asked if he is getting into server software? James: yes, but don't need to worry about it right now. It involves the expression analyzer. More Discussion.

Rob fixed (?) IDL on Win32 for New Media Studio. Rob noted that he always loses Win32 stuff when he goes from branch to branch on CVS (see later).

- Reza: PMEL Problem. Unidata has a beta that fixed the problem. Binaries are not defaulted for large files. Need manual interaction with the make files.

Reza and James had a discussion about neeeding a rule in the netCDF configuation file. Need flags for every machine supported. Ethan needs to track and implement this. On change code: need to open new branch. Our netCDF code is in the best shape it's ever been. James, Rob, and Reza determined how they will proceed: James to merge the 3.4 netCDF branch stuff to the trunk.

- Paul: Set up the Twiki for Developers. Working on the NVODS National Meeting this week.
