John, Dan and Peter

  1. Needs to update in CVS as soon as code is fixed - John
    1. All numbered builds (like 2.46) are checked in.
    2. Progress checkins also - a significant amount of work done, but not necessarily a working version; should compile.
    3. Bottom line a checkin every couple of days.
  2. Bug reports to Bugzilla
    1. Currently ~75 bugs and ~75 features. May be down to 40 now.
    2. We've agreed that John will enter any bug encountered that:
      1. He does not immediately (next several hours) plan to address.
      2. He will determine to the extent possible if the bug is in the ODC or in the incoming OPeNDAP data stream.
        1. Former goes onto ODC bug list.
        2. Latter goes onto a data set bug list.
  3. Release Candidate for ODC that's means something on page 1 of the OPeNDAP page - John with James and Dan
  4. Clean up the ODC download page so that it works like the Matlab client page - John with James
  5. Move tutorial to OPeNDAP web pages. - John with James.
  6. Target user groups for the ODC.
    1. The ODC as an aid to installers of data servers.
      1. Packaging the ODC with server stuff - James
      2. Tutorial for how to use it in this mode - John
      3. Setting up examples on our machine.
      4. Entry in the READ.ME documentation that comes with the server.
    2. As a data discovery tool for Matlab
      1. Tutorial for how to use it with Matlab to get the data
      2. Packaging with loaddods
      3. Entry on the ODC web page
    3. Excel and Access
    4. Ferret
  7. Paper on the ODC with section(s) relevant to 6.
  8. Feedback separate tab on the top page next to help tab.
    1. Two tabs
      1. Bugs; i.e., a failure either of the program or in the aquisition of data
      2. Comments; i.e.,  program sucks, suggested new features,...
    2. Report goes to one of two different places in Bugzilla  going to John and Peter.
